Photographer and Sailor from South Africa with a passion for the ocean, the mountains and the biodiversity of our Earth.
Hi, my name is Ethan Thomas Lundy. Growing up in Durban, South Africa, I was introduced to the ocean at a young age through surfing and free diving. After moving to Cape Town, my passion for the mountains grew through Rock Climbing and Hiking. Since then, I have explored the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and South Africa’s Coasts on sailboats.
I have also rock climbed and hiked all over the Western Cape and Kwazulu Natal, ticking off the Drakensberg Grand Traverse (210km, 13 Days), multiple multi-day hikes in the Cederberg region including Algeria to Sandriff via Shadow Peak, Tafelberg, Wolfberg Arch and Wolfberg Cracks (50km, 2 Days), sport climbing and bouldering in pristine sandstone crags at Rocklands, Silvermine, Truintjies Kraal, Kleinmond and even a basalt crag in Mauritius.
I hope to use my experience in these environments to produce photographs and videos that help to expose these beautiful spaces, and protect them in the process.
